Breakfast was good, large portions. Service was also good, the staff were very attentive.
Our bed was very close to the window which meant that it was awkward to get into one side and there was no bedside table.
-
The bed was comfortable and clean. Convenient location, walking distance to most attractions and easy to get to city centre. Free drink and snacks very generous

Overall, it's unique base for exploring Oxford attractions. Our room was good sized. Next to the downtown, 10 minutes on foot. Truly enjoyed the food at their on-site restaurant Caffè Ethos.
That mirror was missing.
-
it was a 4-star hotel in every way. it was great to have a full kitchen. being a short walk to the folly was nice, we had dinner there.
-
Welcoming staff and plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Oxford City Centre district is worth your attention. Café bar in the hotel. We loved our stay in Ethos...
-
Location was fine with only a short taxi ride to the town centre.
Unfortunately the carpet reminded me of student accomodation as there were lots of stains on it!
-
Nice modern rooms with a kitchen area. Close to Oxford centre and the pleasant Head of the River Pub.
Breakfast is a basket of things on top your microwave, they forgot mine depite a reminder, and offered no discount when checking out. The hotel is just rooms and a reception, no facilities.
-
Location and parking,within restrictions,was free.
Rather confined space within the bedroom and breakfast consisted of cereal and other food to be found in the room. This was not apparent when we booked.
-
The amount of space and the kitchen facilities
- Noone on site when I could not access internet ; for the price - a robe should have been available. There was the smell of stale cigarette smoke in the lobby.
-
Location and cost were great
Do not stay on ground floor. Too much street noise. Next door neighbors in hotel very loud and rude. Insisted on smoking and drinking outside their door thus blowing smoke thru our open windows. Solution was to close window and be in a stuffy room.
-
The ability to have breakfast at one's own time choice.
-
Very classy and exceptionally nice, I did have the luxury loft room though, worth getting it as it is bigger and well laid put
I noticed people complaining on the review about the breakfast but that is wrong, breakfast was healthy, good quality and ample in my opinion, no complaints from me!

The room was modern and clean and the bed was comfortable.
The hotel is situated bang in the middle of a residential area. There is no bar, there are no staff in reception after 9pm. The hotel is way overpriced and I will not staying there again.

The location of the hotel was good in that it was close to town, and within walking distance, but not in the sense of where it was actually located which was down a very small residential street with cars parked on both sides. It was a long narrow space to get your car through and once a car came down the road you had nowhere to go except to reverse and allow the other car to drive through. The room was newly done and nicely decorated.
No parking for car. My mistake for not paying closer attention to this. According to them you can park your vehicle on the next block, however there are very few spaces (5 or 6) as most of the parking in the area and including in front of the hotel are reserved for the residents. We were forced to park much further away and walked home in the pouring rain. Also, the rooms are quite small. It says king bed, but there is no way as we have a king bed and my husband and I barely had room. Plus it squeeked every time you moved in it. The walls were very thin and we could hear everything going on in the two rooms that were adjacent to us. Including packing suitcases at 5:00 am and TV's on in the late hour. The photo of the bathroom is the luxury room and not the normal room. In our bathroom you had to almost step over the toilet to get in and out of the shower. There is also no shelf to hold your shampoo and soap and it must sit on the floor forcing you to bend down everytime. A bit misleading on the photos. Your rooms also faced the street which was not good either. Free breakfast is not delivered to your room every day, but you are provided with a basket of breakfast cereals and milk, yougurt etc...to eat in your room, When I commented on the room size, bed and parking situation the receptionist did not try to upgrade us to the larger room either unless we wanted to pay more. Disappointing as we have stayed in 3 other hotels/guest houses in the Oxford area, one of which did upgrade us after a minor problem. We have found this one not up to the way the website reads. Be aware.

A very warm welcome, great room and fantastic location for Oxford city centre.
Breakfast in the room was pretty good, but lacked fresh fruit and bread. Generally thought that £125 for the room was a little on the expensive side.
